Hi

I have enjoyed recreational fishing my whole life and have fished every corner of this beautiful country of ours. So the way I see it, as a recreational angler, I have to support the protection of our iconic Coral Sea.  If we all as Australians don’t speak out on behalf of this spectacular part of our country, it will be a terrible loss to the greater Australian community and to marine life, for generations to come.

That is why I support protecting one of the world’s last near pristine marine habitats – you can too.

In my mind it is vital we protect of all the Coral Sea’s fragile coral reefs and critical fish breeding and feeding sites.

Did you know that this part of our blue Australia has the only known spawning site for black marlin in the world! Tunas spawn there too, as do lanternfish that whale sharks feed on. That’s just a few of the majestic sea creatures that live, breed and feed in these waters.

Let’s band together and send a clear message as one to the environment minister Tony Burke – protecting the coral reefs in the Coral Sea is a no brainer.

I say to Tony Burke – mate, earn your Environment Minister title.

I fish and I support protecting our Coral Sea!

Cheers
